WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Fabianski

Rice Balbuena Cresswell

Fredericks Sanchez Wilshere Masuaku

Anderson

Arnie Hernandez

Wish he'd go three at the back, but he probably won't.

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Like most people on here, I really like Rice and saw enough on Tuesday, to see him as a potential defensive midfielder. Also, the way he was spraying the ball about was lovely to see.

But as good as his performance was, we need to remember it was against 10 man Wimbledon. Let's be honest, he wasn't being put under too much pressure.

At some point, as TM says, I'd like to see him alongside Sanchez. This would hopefully give him the protection and confidence to put in a similar performance against Premiership teams.

Cresswell did enough to replace sloppy bollocks. think Rice would have been better alongside Sanchez, hopefully Wilshere finally turns up

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Team is as per Arsenal - Sanchez and Wilshere in midfield, Snodgrass and Antonio inverted wingers, Arnie and Felipe up top. Fredericks and Masuaku at full back and Diop and Balbuena central.

Fairly predictable.

Not too many changes I hope, give youth a chance we need the pace of the likes of Fredericks, Diop and Rice.

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Ex saying last night a number of changes today, not all that he "agrees with" but that he understands them.

Personally I think we'll have the same team that started against Arsenal on the pitch.

I'd like Rice in the side, but Sanchez understands the role better a d after blowing smoke up Wilshere's arse last week with all that Pirlo rubbish he's bound to be back in.

Hernandez or Snodgrass might be an interesting call...will he be stubborn on playing 2 strikers at home, and if so then Snodgrass would seem most likely to miss out, with Antonio back on the right and Anderson on the left. Hoping he goes with 1, Anderson central again and Snoddy holds his place (though would prefer Yarma purely from an excitement perspective).

Really dont see the point in wrapping him in cotton either, if he is fit. Never said that either. Merely pointed out that it would be stupid to play a half fit Arnie and risk getting him full time injured.
We are finally building a squad and have options, so dont go down the path we have seen for years, where players are rushed, just to see a long term injury occur. If Arnie plays next week for Austria or any other weeks for that matter, then I take it he is fit at that point of time.

Because I don't see the point in wrapping him up in cotton wool when the Austrian manager has already said he expects to play him next week.

As long as it's not Wilshere AND Noble.

i hope Diop & Balbuena continue, with Rice & Sanchez in front of them. no doubt MP will instead pick Wilshere or Noble

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
We definitely need Diop and Rice in there to give us a bit of energy and zip. They may be young and make the odd mistake but it doesn't make sense to drop and sub them when some of our so-called senior players consistently make a hash of things...

He's more of a threat to our goal.

Fit Arnie = Play
Not Fit Arnie = Not playing

Dont really see why Austria is mentioned?? He can play national games all he wants, as long as he is fit.

Antonio Arnautovic

I can't see Pellegrini dropping one of our main goal threats after his sensational heroics against Wimbledon, so Ogbonna retains his place alongside our other main goal threat. I also think Pelle knows that the Hernandez/Arnautovic pairing doesn't work, so Antonio will get the nod. But, as usual, wtf do I know.
